As Director of Finance, you will provide financial guidance to Stansfeld and our clients. In this role, you will be responsible for managing daily financial transactions, financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and analysis. The ideal candidate will have exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, and an ability to communicate financial information effectively to stakeholders.



  • Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial information, including profit & loss, budget vs. actual analysis, balance sheet, accounts receivable aging, accounts payable aging, and general ledger details.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data and provide insights to management to support decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop, monitor, and update budgets, forecasts, and financial models for Stansfeld and its clients.
  • Financial Controls: Assess and review financial controls, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee the accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and collections, and the accurate coding of financial transactions.
  • Payroll Processing: Manage the processing of payroll for the organization, ensuring accurate and timely payments to employees. This includes calculating salaries, deductions, and compliance with tax regulations.
  • Client Invoices: Issue client invoices promptly and accurately, tracking payments and managing accounts receivable for clients. Ensure that invoices are clear, complete, and meet clients’ expectations.
  • Support Audits and Tax Filings: Liaise with external accounting firms and regulatory bodies as required to support audits and tax filings, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and tax laws.
  • Key Performance Indicators: Develop key performance indicators and track results to support business objectives and measure financial performance.
  • Industry Awareness: Maintain awareness of industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements, incorporating these into financial policies and procedures as required.



  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA or CMA designation preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role, demonstrating a strong track record in financial management and reporting.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting software, QuickBooks, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, with an ability to distill complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements.
  • High level of integrity and ethics.



  • 1099 Contractor position
  • Remote position but must be willing to travel for in-person events
  • Office Hours: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm CT, but must be willing to be flexible for events as needs arise
  • Must have your own laptop with high-speed internet connectivity
