The Senior Event Manager is a strategic and creative leader responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing a diverse portfolio of events, ensuring exceptional experiences for clients, attendees, and stakeholders. This role involves overseeing all aspects of event management, from concept to execution. The Senior Event Manager holds responsibility for partner organization events including, but not limited to: crafting an event concept, creating and enforcing budgets, liaising with vendors, communicating with partner organization leadership, and ensuring that each event is executed to established performance standards.



Event Planning and Management:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive event plans, including budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Lead the conceptualization and design of events, taking into account client or organizational goals and objectives.
  • Coordinate all logistical aspects of events, including venue selection, catering, transportation, entertainment, and equipment rentals.
  • Be available to oversee event setup, production, and breakdown, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors to deliver successful events including but not limited to:
    • Internal and external meetings
    • Run of show, timelines, and agendas
    • Sponsorship/exhibitor packages
    • Graphic design and marketing materials
    • Speaker briefs and best practices information
    • Email campaigns and FAQs
    • Event program and speaker information
    • Website and registration information
    • Conduct site inspections and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential issues.


Client and Stakeholder Management:

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships by understanding their objectives and delivering events that meet or exceed expectations.
  • Communicate with clients regularly, providing updates and addressing concerns or requests.
  • Engage with sponsors, partners, and other stakeholders to maximize event value and opportunities.


Budget and Financial Management:

  • Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effective planning and financial accountability.
  • Monitor expenses, negotiate contracts, and seek cost-saving opportunities.
  • Prepare financial reports and forecasts for each event.


Post-Event Evaluation:

  • Evaluate the success of each event, gathering feedback from clients, attendees, and stakeholders and prepare a post-conference report.
  • Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the impact of events.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement lessons learned in future event planning.



  • Bachelor’s degree in event management, hospitality, marketing, or a related field; advanced degrees or industry certifications are a plus.
  • Proven experience in event planning, with a track record of successfully executing a variety of events.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in event management software and tools.
  • Budget management and financial acumen.
  • Leadership and team management capabilities.



  • 1099 Contractor position
  • Remote position but must be willing to travel for in-person events
  • Office Hours: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm CT, but must be willing to be flexible for events as needs arise
  • Must have your own laptop with high-speed internet connectivity
